Christian Viancos

Partner & Crisis Director

A journalist with a degree from Universidad Nacional Andrés Bello and a diploma in Marketing from Universidad Católica.  

Between 2010 and 2017, he served as the director of the Chilean chapter of the Inter-American Association of Journalists of Economics and Finance (AIPEF).  

With extensive experience in the country’s leading business media and communications, he has gained a deep understanding of the corporate and financial world. His career has allowed him to build valuable connections in both the private and public sectors.  

He joined Simplicity in 2013, where he has provided strategic advice to major companies across various sectors, including the casino industry. Over the years, a significant portion of his advisory work with companies and associations has been focused on complex cases and crisis management.  

Previously, he spent eight years at La Tercera, first as a subeditor and later as the editor of the Business section.  

From 2000 to 2005, he worked as a journalist at El Mercurio in the Economy and Business section, where he led coverage on energy, mining, agriculture, and fishing. Between 1999 and 2000, he was a journalist for the Finance section of Diario Financiero. From 1996 to 1999, he was part of the Business Affairs section at Diario Estrategia, focusing on retail-related topics.
